About Kyoto Monkey Park
Kyoto Monkey Park is an independent visitor guide to the Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama — not the park’s official site. I’m Kenji Nakamura, a walking guide in Arashiyama since 2014, and I built this site to help visitors understand what they’re booking and which tour suits them.
What we do
I research the guided Arashiyama tours available through GetYourGuide, read through the traveller reviews, and write up honest, practical guidance on which tour suits which visitor. I’m not a tour operator and I don’t sell monkey park tickets — entry is ¥800 cash at the gate, no reservations. What you’re booking when you book a tour is a guide who knows the hike, the best time for feeding, and the stories of Arashiyama.
